MEET THE GUEST:
Jenn Edden is a sugar addiction expert, author, and empowerment coach. Jenn healed herself of gastritis at 22 years old and survived a near-death gas explosion at 28 yrs old. It became very clear at that point in her life that she had a calling to teach others the same techniques she used to heal her body naturally and break free from sugar addiction. Jenn is a certified health coach and for the past 14+ years, she has been teaching others how to take back control of what they eat and drink without dieting, deprivation or denial. She delivers real, long-lasting results in a simple and manageable way. How many times do you get to the end of our day wishing you could have done it differently and for sure with more energy and feeling like you made smart eating choices all day long!

EPISODE SUMMARY:
- Jenn and I are talking about sugar addiction and how the way we eat really affect how we feel. We talk about how we can change our mindset on diets. When we believe that doing on a diet is more about feeling better rather than looking better.
“Not all sugar is created equal.” – Jenn Edden
- Jenn mentions a lot about eating things that make us feel good but how do we do this when we are so busy running around checking things off our to-do lists? Jenn shares her tips on how we can start slowing down and noticing how certain things make us feel. A great example is how there is a pause between a craving and eating it. Expand on that pause and use that to ask yourself how that food will make you feel.
- Jenn shares her near death gas explosion! She felt as though she experienced a rebirth in herself! It’s truly an experience to be around women that have survived something. When that woman is rebirthed, she will stop at nothing!
- We shouldn’t feel shame if we have some sugar. Jenn says that it’s more about having control with sugar. If you don’t have control over it, that’s when you’re addicted to sugar!
- Jenn and I go into gut health! We mention our own experience with our gut health. Jenn says that it’s best if you can catch it early, so pay attention to how you are feeling.
- I ask Jenn what to do when we go out to eat! No one wants to go out to a fancy restaurant and being that friend who only has the salad. Jenn gives us her tips on how to handle and still eat clean!
- Next, we talk about feeling empowered! An example we share is asking for something extra or remove it when ordering your food. Ladies, there is no shame in that! Instead of feeling like you’re “being difficult”, Jenn says that we are interesting!
“Women want to have a life but they also want to feel good!” – Jenn Edden
